The new ola X Barbican collection is inspired by Isamu Noguchi's Akari Lamp Series. Crafted by hand in Japan since 1951, the Akari lamp collection consists of more than 100 sculptural forms constructed from paper and bamboo using traditional lantern making techniques. These forms have been hand drawn, dissected and re-imagined in an exclusive stationery collection for Barbican to celebrate the exhibition Noguchi.
