Alan Fletcher iPhone 5 Case
Drawn from Alan Fletcher's vibrant assemblage A Technological Graveyard.
Alan Fletcher was one of the most influential British designers of the twentieth century and the archive is a treasure-trove of prints, doodles and classic images.
In the mid 90s Fletcher was in the art department of a famous publishing company and asked to borrow a pencil - no-one could find one. This experience inspired his vibrant assemblage “A Technological Graveyard”, a paean to an endangered tool in the computer age. The range includes a notepad and pencil case for those nostalgic for the old era or an iPhone case for those embracing the brave new pencil free world.
Developed with Kit Grover, the Barbican range is the first line of products to be developed from the Alan Fletcher Archive. The chosen pieces reflect Fletcher’s design aesthetic and include a limited edition silk scarf, notepad, pencil case, phone cover, fridge magnet, shopper and t-shirt.
