The Yellow Line Print
This A3 digital mounted print features the Barbican Estate's idiosyncratic painted directional system - the Yellow Line.
Photo by Barbican resident and enthusiast Jane Northcote.
Exclusive to the Barbican.
The Yellow Line winds across the Barbican Estate, guiding visitors to the Barbican Centre. It is still in use today and is a reminder of the high walk's intended purpose as the principal route to the Centre.
A personal project by Jane Northcote, these striking photos celebrate the attempt to bring order to the Barbican's concrete maze.
You can read more about the project on the Barbican blog.
